Why do we call it Remanufactured, not rebuilt or refurbished, etc? Simple, to eliminate confusion on what we do versus someone else. In our industry a lot of terms are used describing old worn out machinery that has had work done on it to try to raise its value when sold. However, that does not mean that it is any better. It may be just prettier or not, with little done to make it workable for the next buyer. So what is the difference in the words remanufactured, refurbished and rebuilt? Here is each ones definition from The Merriam Webster Website (m-w.com) Remanufacture: to manufacture into a new product. Rebuild: 1 a : to make extensive repairs to : RECONSTRUCT <rebuild a war-torn city> b : to restore to a previous state<rebuild inventories> . Refurbish: to brighten or freshen up: RENOVATE (to restore to a former better state (as by cleaning, repairing, or rebuilding). When GBN remanufactures a Nailing System, you can be assured that it is the best offered and as close to new as we can get. Since some basic parts are not new, we must call it something else. We give it a six months limited warrantee and include installation help and training. The system is brought up to new standards and new parts are used because it is more cost effective to offer this kind of work and it promotes the way GBN thinks. When they are available or if you would like to have your old CAMPBELL or GBN System run like new, but save money in the process, let us offer our services. These machines were made to last, but time marches on with all of us and since they have been ridden hard and put up wet, they are ready for some good TLC. Not only have that, these remanufactured machines can qualified for the Tax Depreciation Bonus. Check "Claiming the Special Depreciation Allowance" of Publication 946 of the IRS and you accountant.
